Quality Leads means something different to different people. Qualified prospects is what most people in business are looking for. So what is meant by a qualified prospect?
Well, that's almost an oxymoron! What I mean is this. Prospecting is the process of qualifying someone for your product or service. The "process" of qualifying your prospects does not end until they are disqualified, or they have purchased your product or service.
So, if the process of prospecting is actually the same as the process of qualifying someone, a 'qualified prospect' is not a state that a prospect is in. Prospects are at different levels of qualification during the prospecting process. Therefore, a qualified prospect is a prospect that is "in the process" of BEING qualified.
OK, so enough with philosophy of prospecting! What am I getting at? Prospecting is something YOU do in the process of making a sale. A customer is NEVER purely qualified until YOU qualify them. And qualifying prospects can never be done effectively without you having a discussion with them by finding out THEIR needs.
You see, it's THEIR needs that qualify them for your product. You will never know their needs until you ask them. So in the end, a qualified prospect is a prospect that is qualified because YOU found out their needs to determine whether or not they were qualified for your product. The best person to qualify any prospect for your product or service is YOU!
If you are interested in leads that have been qualified as much as possible without picking up the phone and qualifying them yourself, you should try the AutoProspector online lead generation system, where quality leads are their goal.
